The Selma Enterprise and Kingsburg Recorder have launched a new feature on their Web sites allowing readers to receive alerts over e-mail when breaking news happens in the community.
Shootings, large fires, traffic accidents and other significant breaking news is regularly published on our Web sites. However, the new feature allows the Enterprise and Recorder to send e-mail notifications to readers as such news is happening.
There is no charge for the service.
To sign up for the breaking news e-mails, visit
www.selmaenterprise.com and
www.kingsburgrecorder.comOn the right side of each Web site, toward the bottom, is a feature that says "EMAIL UPDATES."
Subscribers are asked to provide the e-mail address to which they would like the news alerts sent.
No other information will be requested besides the e-mail address.
After submitting an e-mail, subscribers will then receive a confirmation request to that e-mail from the Web site. Reply to the e-mail and the registration will be complete.
Anytime The Selma Enterprise reports breaking news on its Web site, the story will be sent to subscribers at no cost.
